Bryan University's E-Discovery program would provide me with an exciting and dynamic way to connect with professionals in the legal field, delve further into case law, and to gain greater insight into the role of IT in my vocation of choice. I am currently employed at the Office of the Attorney General as a staff assistant, where I am given the responsibility of briefing clients, managers, and attorneys, as well as maintaining legal documentation and keeping accurate schedules of court scheduling and litigation. Virtually all of my previous work experience has been in the legal field and required me to have an astute understanding of how IT functions in relation to the law. My experiences have encompassed legal institutions as diverse as the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Health, Justice Administration Committee, and Duval County Clerk of Court. I also have earned a B.A. In Business Administration as well as an A.A. In Paralegal Studies.
I seek to take my education to the next level and capitalize upon my current experiences. Over the course of my career, I have been given greater and greater responsibilities by my employers. I have consistently sought out new opportunities within the field and increased the scope of my competencies and knowledge. Now it is time for me to try to 'jump start' my career and I believe that only higher education can enable me to do so.
